Complete your study plan and improve your official SAT or ACT scoreāor receive a refund of up to your first three months of Premium fees.
Who qualifies
This guarantee applies to Dolphin web Premium plans marked as eligible when you purchase. Choose either SAT or ACT when enrolling in the guarantee. Email [email protected] with your account email, chosen exam, and starting score report to enroll.
You must have an official starting score below 1500 SAT or 34 ACT, from a test taken in the six months before your paid subscription begins. Submit your score report within seven days of that start date. If you have taken the exam more than once, we use your most recent official result.
Practice tests, Dolphin diagnostics, and PSAT or PreACT scores do not qualify as starting scores. If you have not taken an official SAT or ACT, you can still use Dolphin, but this guarantee does not apply.
What you need to complete
Start your study plan within seven days of your paid subscription beginning. Keep Premium active and study for at least eight consecutive weeks. During that time:
- Complete your assigned guarantee study plan, covering every scored section of your chosen exam.
- Answer at least 600 different assigned practice questions, in addition to your practice tests, and complete the plan's correction exercises.
- Complete three different full-length Dolphin practice tests under official time limits, including any approved testing accommodations.
We will give you the complete requirements when you enroll and will not add new requirements to your guarantee afterward. The plan must be completed within your first 12 weeks, including the eight consecutive weeks of study.
Your work must be your own. Attempt practice questions before viewing answers or explanations. Repeated questions count only once. Practice tests must be completed without hints or outside help. You do not need a minimum accuracy or practice-test score to qualify.
How we compare your scores
Take your first official SAT or ACT after completing the plan within six months of your paid subscription beginning. Your starting and final scores must be for the same exam and scoring format. We compare the total SAT score or ACT composite from each single sitting; we do not combine section scores from different dates.
If your final score is the same as or lower than your starting score, you qualify for a refund if you have met the requirements above. An increase of 10 SAT points or 1 ACT point counts as improvement.
You do not need to keep paying for Premium after completing your study plan to preserve eligibility.
What we refund
- Monthly plans: the amount you actually paid for your first three monthly Premium payments, or fewer if you made fewer payments before your qualifying exam.
- Quarterly plans: the amount you actually paid for your first quarterly Premium payment.
- Annual plans: three months of your annual subscription, calculated as 25% of the annual price you actually paid.
Discounts are reflected in your refund. Amounts already refunded cannot be refunded again. Exam fees, tutoring, and other separate purchases are not covered. This is a limited subscription refund, not a refund of the entire annual plan. One guarantee refund is available per student, across SAT and ACT.
How to request your refund
Contact Dolphin Support within 30 days after your official score is released. Include your account email and official starting and final score reports showing your name, test dates, and scores. We will review your reports and study records and explain our decision. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method.
Falsified reports, shared accounts, automated submissions, or deliberately incomplete attempts do not qualify. A low score or slow progress alone is not evidence of misuse. If we decline your request, you may ask us to review it and provide additional information.
If a Dolphin outage prevents required work, we will extend the affected deadline without requiring extra payment for that extension. If the test provider cancels your qualifying exam, the next available official test date will qualify.
These terms apply to new subscriptions purchased with this version of the guarantee. If you subscribed under an earlier version, the terms provided when you enrolled continue to apply to you. See the previous guarantee terms. This guarantee does not limit any refund rights you have under applicable law.
